Preparing students for today’s legal industry requires more than theory alone. As real estate law continues to evolve alongside digital tools and workflows, students need practical exposure to understand the responsibilities and expectations of modern conveyancing.
As part of Closer’s 100% free Education Program, the Education Grant selection process invites students to submit an original written or recorded essay demonstrating their understanding of real estate law, digital conveyancing workflows, and the role of today’s law clerks.
Morgan’s submission stood out for its strong understanding of the role law clerks play in managing real conveyancing work, from accuracy and organization to professional responsibility
Essay topic: “The legal industry is changing fast. In your view, what does it mean to “work smarter” as a law clerk today and how can technology support that goal?”
In this submission, Morgan reflects on how modern law clerks can balance efficiency, accuracy, and professional responsibility while adapting to evolving legal technology.

The Closer Education Program is built to help students develop confidence with the tools, expectations, and workflows they will encounter in professional practice. By learning in an environment aligned with industry standards, students graduate better prepared to contribute from day one.
We congratulate Morgan on receiving the Closer Education Grant and thank the educators who continue to make this program possible. Together, we’re supporting the next generation of skilled, practice-ready law clerks.
